Rich Cohn, Group Vice President of Health Sciences Research, Social and Scientific Systems, Inc. 

Dr. Rich Cohn is a statistician and he serves as Group Vice President of Health Sciences Research at Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. Rich has more than 30 years of experience in statistical consulting applied to public health research, 25 of which have been in a government contracting environment. He oversees an 80-person organizational unit that includes health scientists and statisticians who conduct research studies and analyses in such fields as environmental health, respiratory health, and children’s health.

Rich has been recognized for statistical and methodological contributions and has published more than 35 journal articles on topics such as environmental allergen exposures and asthma, air quality modeling methods, and laboratory performance assessment techniques. Rich has directed a number of large-scale multidisciplinary research activities, and for the past 19 years has served in organizational leadership roles including strategic and business planning.

Rich was also instrumental in establishing the Research Triangle Environmental Health Collaborative, a nonprofit established to leverage the combined capabilities of the region’s government, commercial, and academic environmental health institutions, and to apply that expertise toward high-impact, cross-cutting issues in environmental health. Rich also serves on the board of Research Triangle High School, a public charter school providing innovative instructional methods for a diverse student population.

Previously, Rich served a five-year term at the University of North Carolina’s Collaborative Studies Coordinating Center within the School of Public Health. He holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Virginia, a master’s in statistics from Virginia Tech, and a doctorate in statistics from North Carolina State University.

Paul A. Dillon is the president and CEO of Dillon Consulting Services LLC, a U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs certified Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, based in Durham, NC and Chicago, IL. Ed White is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Field2Base, Inc., a Morrisville, NC based technology company that uses tablet computers, wireless communications and Field2Base software to support mobile forms automation for a variety of vertical markets. He is also the founder of White Ventures LLC, a private equity and commercial real estate development company.

In 1980, after working for Westinghouse Electric Corporation for several years, Ed founded Utility Translation Systems, Inc. (UTS), a very successful remote-meter reading software company headquartered in Raleigh, NC. In 1996 he sold UTS to Itron, Inc., a leading supplier of energy information and communications solutions to the utility industry. He served as Itron’s Chairman of the Board until retiring in 2003 and has been a frequent speaker on metering and deregulation of the power supply industry conferences throughout the world.

Ed is a graduate of the North Carolina State University School of Engineering, and is past president and a current member of the university’s Engineering Foundation’s Board of Directors. He has served on the Board of Directors of Morrisville’s Chamber of Commerce and is their former chairman. He is also the former Chairman of the Board for GRIDiant, Inc., and is on the board of directors for Stewart Engineering, Research Triangle Regional Partnership, and a former director of eMeter. He is Chairman and a founding board member of the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster. He has also served as president of North Ridge Country Club.

In 2009, Ryan Keefe was named as an M2M Pioneer by M2M International Magazine. He has a proven success record and wealth of knowledge within the M2M (Machine to Machine) space. Keefe also has a proven success record with international business, enterprise software, SaaS, wireless wholesale, roaming, carrier relationships, mobile technology, and strategic partnerships.

Ryan Keefe has worked in the wireless industry for more than thirteen years. Ten of those years were specifically focused on M2M (Machine to Machine). Beginning in 2001 as Sales Representative at T-Mobile USA, he worked his way up to Business Development Manager East. Highlights of his career at T-Mobile USA included managing and developing the M2M channel in the East. He was instrumental in establishing the M2M division at T-Mobile, as well as strategic partnerships in all verticals. Keefe lead T-Mobile USA’s Smart Grid and AMI efforts nationwide, as well.

In 2011, he joined Wyless as Vice President of Business Development and was quickly promoted to Vice President of Global Business Development.
